One Wrong Righted, a Bazillion More to Go

Today it was announced that George Bush ceded his grasp on the illegal domestic spying program and restored proper surveillance procedure to the FISA court where it belongs. The FISA court was set up so that a court order was required to surveil a U.S. citizen. It established oversight to ensure that surveillance powers were not abused, and yet permitted the power when it was absolutely needed. Ever since 9/11, Bush and his cronies have been illegally spying on American citizens by circumventing the FISA court, acting without the oversight necessary to ensure that our right to privacy stands strong, and downright trouncing the Constitution of the U.S.A. Today is a great day for American citizens. Today we can start to brush the dirt and grime off of our most treasured document and iron out some of the wrinkles.

"Bush and his cronies have been illegally spying on American citizens by circumventing the FISA court"...yes, spying on those citizens who were contacting or contacted by people suspected of terrorism! When did he/they illegally "spy" on citizens who were NOT associated with terrorism? Specifics? Oh, doesn't exist....

Love ya man!

We don't know who, when, or even IF he spied on citizens not associated with terrorism because there was NO OVERSIGHT! That's the whole point of the FISA court. To monitor spying activities to make sure they aren't abused. If there's no oversight, we have NO IDEA what they are doing. So again I say, who knows? Nobody. Absolute power = absolute corruption, good buddy.
